The Bigla Pro Cycling team is back in action on Saturday, 10 October, in Giro dell’Emilia Internazionale Donne. Clara Koppenburg will line up for the team in one of her last races of the season. The 20 year old has had a successful first season in the professional ranks, one that including her first Giro Rosa, the only Grand Tour on the women’s peloton.
“I had a fantastic season with my teammates and the staff. I enjoyed the races in different countries. I enjoyed every race and the life as a professional cyclist. That’s the reason why I’m a little bit sad that the season is almost over now. I’m already looking forward to next season,” Koppenburg said.
The German last raced a month ago and says she is ready to pin on a number once again. “I’m really looking forward to Giro Emilia. It was again a long period without racing for me. Watching the Worlds on TV was really hard, but it gave me a really good motivation where I want to be in the future. So I will give my best for the team and enjoy my last race this season.”
